How is this site different?

Dozens of sites compare NPS funds. Here's what we do differently.

  1. No commissions, no favouritesWe don't earn commission from any fund or company, so we have no reason to promote any of them. Every fund manager is ranked the same way.
  2. Just the factsWhat your money could earn comes from each company's actual fund performance, and nothing else.
  3. Official data, kept up to dateHistorical returns come from official figures published under the pension regulator, PFRDA. We refresh them periodically.
  4. Honest about the futureReturns shown are not guaranteed. They are based on past returns, which may or may not repeat.
  5. No guessing a returnOther calculators ask you to assume a return. How would you know? We let you test every combination of past periods (1, 3, 5, 7 and 10 years) instead.
  6. Your whole plan in one placeWe help you work out how much pension you'll need, then show the funds you can invest in to get there.

We genuinely believe you should invest whatever you can, and start planning your retirement income today, for a financially secure future.

Your asset mix

More equity: more growth, bigger swings.

What is an asset mix, and why choose one?

The money you invest is put into different types of instruments that aim to increase your returns. Your asset mix is how your money is split between them: more in shares means more growth but bigger ups and downs, more in bonds means steadier but slower growth. You can select from the options shown below, or set your own split.

What is a fund manager, and why choose one?

A fund manager is a company approved by PFRDA (the NPS regulator) that invests your money in the asset mix you chose. There are several of them and their past returns differ, so your choice affects how much your pension pot could grow. The table below ranks them for your asset mix; tap one to pick it. You can change your fund manager later.

How to read this table

C, E and G = the manager's yearly return for each scheme over the period shown. Your mix = your split applied to those returns. “—” = too new to have that record; such managers use their longest record and are marked shorter record.
